A 34-year-old man from Manchester is in hospital after being found with serious injuries at the side of a country road near Hale, with police saying he has 'very little recollection' of what happened.
The man was riding his bike before he was found seriously injured on Ashley Road, near to Ashley Mill Lane, at around 8am on Sunday, August 16. He suffered multiple serious injuries, including several broken ribs and a fractured skull, and remains in hospital for treatment, Cheshire Police said.
Appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage
An investigation has been launched, and officers are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage, or any witnesses, to get in touch.
Police Sergeant Jon Dixon, of the Roads and Crime Unit at Cheshire Police, said: “The victim in this case has sustained a number of serious injuries and we’re committed to doing all we can to establish exactly what took place.

“At this time, the cyclist has very little recollection of what occurred and we’re keen to hear from anyone with any information which may assist our enquires. We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone with any dashcam footage, or anyone who believes they may have witnessed the incident.”
