Around 60 firefighters were mobilised to combat a severe blaze that engulfed a family-run village pub in Bromley, with the cause of the fire now under official investigation by authorities.

London Fire Brigade received the initial emergency call at 10.33pm on Sunday evening, April 19, reporting a fire at The Fox Keston Pub and Dining on Heathfield Road in Keston. The fire service swiftly dispatched eight fire engines from stations including Biggin Hill, Bromley, and Orpington to tackle the incident.
Scale of the Blaze and Firefighting Efforts
At the height of the emergency, flames had spread to part of the first floor, second floor, and roof of the pub, causing extensive damage. Firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the blaze under control, which was achieved by 12.14am on Monday morning.
One of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders was deployed at the scene as an observation tower, enabling crews to fight the fire more effectively from an elevated position. This strategic use of equipment helped manage the challenging conditions presented by the multi-storey structure.

Following the containment of the main fire, crews remained on site to damp down remaining hotspots and ensure no flare-ups occurred. A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade confirmed that while the immediate danger has passed, the cause of the fire is now subject to a thorough investigation.
