Teenager Arrested After 12-Year-Old Boy Dies in Playground Fall in Cheshire

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the death of 12-year-old Logan Carter in a playground accident in Winsford, Cheshire. Police believe the incident occurred when the wheels of an e-bike were used to propel a roundabout at Wharton recreation ground on Friday 29 August.

Officers were called to the scene near Ledward Street at 6.11pm by the North West Ambulance Service. Logan was found seriously injured and treated by paramedics, but is understood to have died at the scene. The roundabout was later cordoned off by police.

In a statement released by Cheshire Police, Logan's family described him as “a little boy who was so full of life” with “an infectious personality and a beautiful smile”. They said: “Logan was everyone’s therapy person; their calm, and he will be missed more than we can ever put into words.”
