Hundreds of students have been relocated to a secure area following a bomb threat that prompted an urgent evacuation at a school in Far North Queensland.
Emergency Declaration at Cairns State High School
Queensland Police enacted an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act at Cairns State High School at 9:25 AM on Thursday. An exclusion zone was established after authorities received reports of a threat made against the school.
Student Safety Prioritized
The school, which currently enrolls approximately 800 students, was swiftly evacuated. Officials have moved the students to a safe location while police conduct a thorough investigation.
