Body Found In River Confirmed As Missing Teen Alex Bendall

The body of a missing teenager has been discovered in a river in Dorset, two months after they disappeared. Alex Bendall, 18, also known as Alice, was reported missing from Dorchester on February 12.

Dorset Police confirmed that a body was found in the River Frome near Lubbecke Way in Dorchester at around 3pm on Saturday. Although formal identification has not yet taken place, it is believed to be Alex Bendall.

Alex had been due to start a new job caring for people with dementia and had a driving test booked in the days after vanishing. In a previous appeal, Alex's father Paul Bendall, 60, described the family as being 'in pieces'.
