Kent Police are investigating after a one-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries in a fall from a window in Gillingham.

Incident details

Officers were called by the South East Coast Ambulance Service at around 6.10pm on Sunday to reports that paramedics were treating a child who had fallen from a window of a property on Cornwallis Avenue. The fall is believed to have occurred from a flat above a shop.

Hospital and investigation

The child was taken to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries. A police spokeswoman said: 'Officers attended and the child was taken to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries. Inquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.'
