In a significant blow to suspected organised criminal activity, New South Wales Police have conducted a major operation across Sydney, resulting in six arrests and the seizure of assets valued at over $12 million.
Luxury Vehicles and Multiple Warrants Executed
As part of the coordinated strike, officers executed a total of ten search warrants at various locations throughout the city. The operation's most visually striking seizures were three high-value luxury cars. Among them were a Rolls-Royce Ghost, estimated to be worth $600,000, and a Lamborghini Huracan 724, also valued at approximately $600,000.
Arrests and Charges Laid
The police action led to the arrest of six individuals, who are now facing a series of serious charges. The charges are reported to include various drug and weapons offences, among other alleged crimes connected to the network's activities. The operation was specifically targeted at dismantling an alleged organised crime syndicate operating within the Sydney region.
A Major Financial Blow to Alleged Network
The confiscation of assets, totalling more than $12 million, represents a substantial financial setback for the alleged criminal group. Such asset stripping is a key tactic used by law enforcement to disrupt the economic foundations of organised crime, making it harder for networks to operate and profit from illegal enterprises.
The successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts by NSW Police to target and disrupt sophisticated criminal organisations believed to be involved in the illicit drug trade and other serious crimes.
