Police have launched a worldwide hunt for the fugitive son of slain Glasgow gangster Kevin “The Gerbil” Carroll. Konnor Green, 22, is wanted by detectives over an alleged attack at the Drumchapel home he shares with his mother Kelly “Bo” Green.
The search comes more than a year after another man was attacked at the property. Detectives are understood to have issued a warrant for Konnor’s arrest, and Interpol has been notified as officers try to track him down.
Background of a Gangland Feud
Konnor was just six when his father was gunned down in the back of an Audi outside an Asda supermarket in Robroyston in 2010. Carroll, 29, was shot 13 times by a hitman linked to the rival Lyons gang after becoming embroiled in a bitter Glasgow gangland feud.
But Carroll’s widow Kelly has a notorious family history of her own. The 46-year-old is the daughter of late crime boss Jamie Daniel and was once caught up in an £800 shoplifting spree at an H&M store.
Kelly Green’s Criminal History
In April 2017, security staff at the Centre West shopping centre in East Kilbride confronted Green after she was spotted acting “suspiciously” in the high street store. She was subsequently found with a haul of H&M clothing worth around £800 in her car.
Green appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted her involvement in the theft, with her solicitor telling the court she had “assisted with the shoplifting”. She was spared prison and ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work in the community.
Sentencing her, Sheriff Thomas Millar described it as “a substantial value of an expensive shoplifting expedition” but decided community work was an appropriate alternative to custody. It was not the first time Green had found herself in trouble over shoplifting.
Family Ties to Organised Crime
In 2014, she admitted stealing around £1,200 worth of clothing from Glasgow Fort and Strathkelvin Retail Park in Bishopbriggs. She was again given a community payback order rather than a jail sentence.
Green was also closely linked to the Daniel family’s notorious reputation. Her father Jamie Daniel was a feared Glasgow crime boss before his death from cancer, while her aunt Annette Daniel was described in reports as a leading figure in a major shoplifting gang. Annette had 22 convictions for shoplifting and had served time behind bars for theft offences.
Green and Carroll had children together and lived in Lennoxtown. But Carroll’s murder would leave her raising his children after his violent death at the age of just 29. The gangster had been at the centre of a bloody feud between rival Glasgow crime groups before he was executed in broad daylight. His £217,000 villa was later seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act, forcing Green to move out.
Ongoing Fallout
More than a decade later, the family remains caught up in the fallout of Glasgow’s gangland underworld. In May 2025, Green and Konnor were targeted in a gangland firebombing at their bungalow in Drumchapel. Owen Martin, 21, was later jailed for three years after being convicted in connection with the attack as part of Operation Portaledge, a police investigation into serious organised crime.
Now Konnor is the subject of an international manhunt. His half-brother Reece Trainer previously fled to Mexico after becoming wanted in connection with the 2021 killing of John Quinn McGregor in Glasgow. Trainer was eventually jailed for 54 months after admitting firearms offences and attempting to pervert the course of justice by fleeing to Mexico. His stepfather’s murder was even referenced by a judge during sentencing.
Lord Harrower told Trainer: “You of all people must have been aware of that risk, your own stepfather having also been shot dead in broad daylight.” Police Scotland has confirmed enquiries into the attack at Green and Konnor’s home remain ongoing.
