A 47-year-old man has been found dead inside a British tradesman's van carrying ten illegal migrants at a French motorway rest stop. The body was discovered with a "gunshot wound to his head" inside the van at around 5am on Friday.

The van was found at a stop around 20 miles north of the city of Troyes and 200 miles away from the Channel crossing.
The incident is under investigation as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
