British Man, 29, Shot Dead in Costa Blanca

Spanish police have launched a murder investigation after a 29-year-old British man was shot dead in the Costa Blanca. The man's body was discovered on 21 December at a housing development in Campoamor, Alicante, according to Spanish media.

The Homicide Unit of the Judicial Police of the Alicante Command is leading the investigation. Spain's Civil Guard confirmed to The Independent that a secrecy order has been issued, preventing further details from being released.

Authorities were alerted after friends reported that the man had been injured. Orihuela's local police contacted the Civil Guard, who took over the investigation. The victim is reported to have suffered multiple bullet wounds. No arrests have been made so far.

Local media suggest the incident may be linked to the shooting of another 32-year-old British man earlier this month, who survived after being shot three times. The investigation continues.
