A 22-year-old man died at a popular Welsh beauty spot on Wednesday afternoon after emergency services were called to a medical emergency. Police and paramedics arrived at Keeper's Pond in Abergavenny at around 2.45pm on July 8 following a report of a medical incident.

Police confirm death not suspicious

Gwent Police confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed, and a report is being prepared for the coroner. A police spokeswoman stated that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A statement from Gwent Police read: "We received a report of a medical emergency at Keeper's Pond, Abergavenny at around 2.45pm on Wednesday, July 8. Officers attended alongside paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service. A 22-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene; his next of kin has been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
