Former Glasgow gangster and author Paul Ferris has died aged 62 on Tuesday, October 6.
Ferris lived a turbulent life of chaos, violence and crime before his death this week. The former enforcer is one of the most recognisable figures from Scotland's gangland history.
Life of violence and feuds
Ferris enforced for “Godfather” Arthur Thompson and was involved in an intense feud with rival kingpin Tam McGraw. His life took dark twists and turns with stints in jail and involvement with firearms.
Since going straight, Ferris penned a number of books.
Brother's death in prison
His brother, Billy Ferris, died in HMP Low Moss last year at the age of 75. The double-murderer was first caged for killing a man in Corby, Northamptonshire in 1977 but was freed in 1999. He was jailed for life in 2003 for the brutal murder of 15-year-old Jason Hutchison in Irvine.
