Catherine Ommanney, the former reality TV star and ex-flame of Prince Harry, has denied allegations that she left a hotel in Majorca without paying her bill, calling the claims “bulls***” and blaming a clerical error.
The 53-year-old interior designer was arrested on suspicion of fraud after management at the three-star Playas del Rey Hotel in Santa Ponsa accused her of failing to settle a bill of nearly £450. Investigators said the credit card she provided did not have sufficient funds to cover the €500 charge accrued over nine days.
However, Ommanney insisted the bill had been paid in full, stating that she used a bank transfer because the hotel does not accept credit cards. She told the Majorca Daily Bulletin that Sunday was a “nightmare of a day” and that she was kept in a “holiday cell”. She added that she would be seeking an apology through the justice system.
Ommanney was photographed leaving a court cell with a Civil Guard officer on Monday evening to attend a closed-door hearing in Palma. She appeared under a surname used in a previous marriage and was released on bail pending further investigation. Her lawyer declined to comment without her authorisation, and the hotel said no one was available to speak to the press.
Ommanney was one of the original cast members of The Real Housewives of DC. In 2022, she claimed she had a brief fling with the Duke of Sussex in 2006, when she was a 34-year-old mother of two and he was 21. Prince Harry has never commented on the alleged relationship.
