An 18-year-old male was arrested after police raided a property on Derbyshire Avenue in Stretford as part of an investigation into drug-dealing in the area. The warrant was executed earlier this morning (Tuesday, October 6).
Intelligence-led operation
Officers described the raid as part of an 'intelligence-led operation' into suspected drug supply across the Stretford area. Pictures from the scene showed specialist officers smashing through a window at the property to gain entry.
After getting inside, they arrested the teenager on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs. He has been taken into custody for questioning.
Substantial amount of cannabis seized
Police also uncovered a 'substantial amount of cannabis' during the raid, along with more than £500 in cash, snap bags, scales and two mobile phones.
Following the raid, PS 16364 Foster said: "This was a result of determined work carried out by the Trafford T1 Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) who gathered intelligence and built a picture of criminal activity at the location.
"We encourage anyone with information about drug dealing to get in touch with us. We take the concerns of our communities seriously, and we will take action."
