A man has been arrested following a drugs and weapons bust at Cairnryan Port.
Officers at the port, near Stranraer, stopped and searched a blue Scania R520 truck around 9.45am on Friday, October 2.
Drugs, cash and weapon recovered
Drugs worth an estimated street value of £950 were discovered, along with a quantity of cash and an offensive weapon.
A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery as part of Operation Lockstream.
Court appearance scheduled
He is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Monday, October 5.
Sergeant Ian Nish said: “We know transport hubs can be used for a range of illegal activities, and this recovery highlights our ongoing commitment to detect and disrupt any illegal drugs coming into Scotland.
“We will continue to carry out systematic, targeted operations which lead to arrests and cause significant disruption.”
