The father of Vickrum Digwa, who was sentenced to life for murdering 18-year-old Henry Nowak, covered his face with a notepad as he appeared in court alongside his sons on weapons charges.
Moga Singh, 52, appeared with Gurpreet Digwa, 27, and Vickrum Digwa, 23, at Southampton Magistrates Court. They face six counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place, including a flick knife, extendable baton, knuckledusters, machete, swords, and kusaris.
Gurpreet Digwa faces four additional charges: possessing an offensive weapon (an asp) in a public place, possessing a prohibited weapon (an air rifle), possessing an axe in a public place, and possessing a knife (a kirpan) in a public place.
The court appearance came hours after Vickrum Digwa was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 21 years for stabbing Henry Nowak to death in Southampton last year. Prosecutor Natalie Angel requested extra time to decide which charges to proceed with, noting that a number of weapons were recovered.
Defence solicitor Harmail Gill asked for an adjournment of at least four weeks to allow both sides to consider the charges. The magistrates adjourned proceedings until July 9, releasing Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa on unconditional bail, while Vickrum Digwa was granted technical bail as he is serving a prison sentence.
The weapons offences are alleged to have occurred between December 4, 2025, and the day after Henry Nowak was killed.
