Bravo has delayed the premiere of Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition after star Wendy Osefo and her husband Eddie were charged with fraud. The episode featuring Osefo was originally scheduled for October 14 but has been pushed back to October 21.
The Osefos face 16 charges, including seven felonies for allegedly making false insurance claims. According to reports, the couple claimed they were burglarised while on holiday in April, reporting stolen jewellery and handbags worth $450,000. Police later saw Osefo wearing a diamond ring she had reported stolen.
Wendy Osefo is a cast member on The Real Housewives of Potomac, which premiered its new season on Bravo last Sunday. The spinoff series swaps Housewives with everyday mothers and also features Angie Katsanevas, Emily Simpson and Melissa Gorga.
Osefo was scheduled to appear at BravoCon in Las Vegas next month, but her attendance is now uncertain. In a recent interview, she said she believed everyone deserved a platform to tell their story, but the network has not commented on her future with the franchise.
