ASOS customers have reported receiving concerning notifications claiming that the online retailer has been hacked. The alert, sent shortly before 10am on Tuesday, states that hackers have “fully compromised the Snowflake instance”.
Threat message and customer reactions
The notification includes a link and threatens customers to “engage with us, or we will leak it”. Many ASOS users have taken to social media to express their concerns following the alert.
One user wrote: “Never deleted my payment methods so quick”, while another said: “Nightmarish day in the office today for DevOps engineers at ASOS”.
