Skepta to Face Trial Over Drug-Driving and Speeding Charges

British grime artist Skepta is set to stand trial on Thursday on charges including drug-driving and speeding. The 43-year-old, whose real name is Joseph Adenuga, is accused of driving his Mercedes-Maybach with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in his system on 14 May last year in High Wycombe. THC is a psychoactive compound found in cannabis.

He also faces a charge of driving his Rolls-Royce Phantom at 37mph in a 30mph zone on 20 November 2023. Additionally, he is accused of failing to provide information to Thames Valley Police regarding the driver of the Rolls-Royce.

Skepta is known for hits such as 'That's Not Me' and has achieved two top 10 singles and three top 10 albums in the UK.
