Thomas Randolph Still in Prison After Netflix Doc

Thomas Randolph, the subject of Netflix's true crime documentary The Widower: 'Til Death Do Us Part, is still serving a prison sentence in Nevada. The 71-year-old was found guilty of two counts of murder in a 2023 retrial and sentenced to a minimum of 60 years behind bars.

Conviction and Current Location

Randolph was convicted in connection with the deaths of his sixth wife, Sharon Causse, and his handyman, Michael Miller. He is currently held at the Lovelock Correctional Centre in Pershing County, Nevada. The documentary notes that his latest appeal was denied in September 2026.

Randolph continues to maintain his innocence, telling journalist Dan Slepian in the film: "I'm a nice guy. I'm cocky, I'm a little flashy, but certainly doesn't make me a murderer."

The Case and Its Background

Causse was shot dead in her home in 2008, with Randolph claiming an intruder had broken in. In the documentary's trailer, his 911 call is heard, saying: "My wife's been shot... I think in the head." Police noted that some evidence did not add up after his account.

Randolph and Causse met on Match.com and married in March 2007. Three months later, Causse wrote her will and took out three life insurance policies worth $350,000. As the marriage strained, she revised her will to name her daughter as a major beneficiary. In May 2008, she was shot and killed after a Mother's Day date.

Randolph's six wives were Kathy Thomas, Becky Gault, Leona Stapleton, Gayna Allmon, Frances Randolph, and Sharon. Journalist Dan Slepian said in the trailer: "In my 30 years as a journalist, the case of Thomas Randolph stands out as the most bizarre, insane, surprising story that I have ever done."

Public Reaction

Viewers have shared positive reviews on IMDb, with one writing: "Very well done documentary! I appreciate that they did a linear timeline with this rather than being all over the place, back & forth thru time like some do." Another said: "The journalist and detective came across well on this documentary. The journalist got the story across in a concise 90-minute story."

The Widower: 'Til Death Do Us Part is available to stream on Netflix.
