Lidl's Holywell store was temporarily closed on Monday after police were called to reports of an alleged assault and theft. Officers arrived at the store on Coleshill Street at approximately 3.20pm.
Police investigate incident
North Wales Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing. A spokesperson said: "We were called at 3.24pm (Monday, September 28) to reports of an alleged assault and theft from Lidl stores on Coleshill Street, Holywell. Officers attended and our enquiries are currently ongoing."
Store quickly reopened
Lidl confirmed the store was briefly closed as a precaution. A Lidl spokesperson added: "Following an incident on Monday afternoon, we can confirm that our Holywell store was briefly closed as a precaution. Thankfully no one was injured and the store was swiftly reopened."
