Tattooed TikTok 'demonologist' arrested over tracking women

A heavily tattooed TikTok creator is back in jail after he allegedly boasted about tracking the movement of women using their phones and exposing their private information online. Mark Stephen Asea, 36, of Florida, calls himself a “demonologist” and “Grey Hat Hacker” among other things on his TikTok profile.

Arrest and Charges

Asea was arrested on a felony charge of offense against computer users on September 30. He was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail with a bond set at $35,000. According to his TikTok bio, Asea also claims to be “Clairsentient” and an “Empath,” and says he has “PTSD.”

Revived Case and Allegations

Asea's arrest has revived a criminal case that had previously been closed months ago. According to court records, he was first arrested in April on stalking and computer-related allegations, but prosecutors dropped those charges in May. The cybersecurity engineer, which is what he claims is his occupation online, now faces a computer-access charge with a police affidavit describing two women who alleged their private information was posted online without permission.

Asea reportedly posted their data in TikTok posts, with one of the women claiming the data was taken after she asked him for help with a computer problem. Police have reviewed some of the 100 videos posted online.

Statements and Videos

As reported by Fox News, police also found statements in which Asea appeared to brag about being able to find her location by using her phone. According to the affidavit, he said in a video: “Thanks to the GPS within her phone, but what did I do?”

It is alleged that Asea uploaded more than 100 TikTok videos regarding one of the women. He also allegedly obtained a website and posted a photograph of one of the women getting a tattoo. In one video reviewed by police, Asea allegedly claimed to know recent spending of his victim. The transcript in the affidavit said: “Let’s talk about your actual password. How about we talk about the last 10 purchases you made online?”

Asea is scheduled to be arraigned November 19.
