A relentless stalker who subjected a woman to a terrifying campaign of harassment, bombarding her with up to 100 phone calls a day, has been pictured for the first time.

A Campaign of Unrelenting Fear

Thomas McGinn, 33, waged a horrifying campaign of control and intimidation against his victim. The court heard how he would often make around 100 calls a day, leaving chilling voicemails that filled the woman with dread.

His obsession did not stop there. McGinn created a web of numerous fake social media profiles to further harass her, ensuring she could find no escape from his attention online. He escalated his actions by sending unwanted gifts and cash transfers, and even contacted one of her relatives in a bid to increase the pressure.

Distressing Images and a Chilling Ultimatum

The harassment took an even more sinister turn when McGinn began sending the woman distressing images of himself self-harming. This psychological torment was a central part of his campaign to control and frighten her.

Shockingly, McGinn refused to seek help or stop his behaviour until the woman felt compelled to go to his home. His actions demonstrate a calculated pattern of abuse designed to isolate and dominate his victim.

Justice Served After Brave Police Report

The woman's ordeal finally came to an end when she found the courage to report McGinn to the police. Her brave decision led to his arrest in March of this year.

This case highlights the severe impact of stalking and the importance of reporting such crimes to the authorities. The court proceedings have now brought his actions to light, offering a degree of closure for the victim after a prolonged period of fear and anxiety.
