Two further men have appeared in court charged with murder following the death of an 18-year-old man in Gorseinon in July this year.
Ceiran Evans died in a traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Pen Cae Crwn Road in the town on July 9. Following his death his family said the teenager was "loved more than any words can say".
Charges and court appearance
Tyler Ford, aged 18, from Morriston, was subsequently charged with the murder of Mr Evans and the attempted murder of a second individual. A provisional trial date has been set for January 11 next year.
Now police have charged two further males in connection with the same incident. Today 33-year-old Elliot Truelove, from West Cross, Swansea, and 18-year-old Liam Thomas, from Morriston, appeared at Swansea Magistrates Court charged with murder and attempted murder.
No pleas were entered during the brief hearing, and both men were remanded into custody to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Thursday.
Investigation update
Following the new charges South Wales Police detective chief inspector Danielle Thorne, of the force's major crime investigation team, said: "This has been a complex investigation into an incident which has been incredibly traumatic for both Ceiran Evans’ family and the wider community of Gorseinon.
"These additional charges are another significant update as we seek to understand the circumstances which led to Ceiran's death. We again thank the local community for their assistance with the investigation."
