Kent Police launched a murder investigation following the discovery, which occurred after officers responded to a report of a murder at an address in Kingfisher Court, Wimbledon, just before noon on Thursday, July 9.

Police Investigation and Arrests

Upon arriving at the Wimbledon address, officers found no one present but suspected that a person had been harmed. This prompted an investigation that led to the arrest of two men, aged 27 and 32, on suspicion of murder. It is understood that the pair had traveled to Kent, though further details have not been released. They are currently being held in custody.

Police believe they know the identity of the deceased, although formal identification has not yet taken place. The victim's next of kin have been informed. Authorities have stated that the victim and the two arrested men were known to each other.

Third Man Arrested and Bailed

In addition to the two murder suspects, a third man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector James Derham of the Kent Police Major Crime Unit said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died at this tragic time. We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and would appeal to anyone with information to come forward."

Police have cordoned off the woodland area in Borstal as forensic examinations continue. Local residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
