North Wales Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 46-year-old man was discovered inside a house in the village of Brymbo, near Wrexham. Officers attended an address on Bryn y Ffynnon at approximately 6pm on Thursday, 26 June, following reports that the occupant had not been seen for several days.
Arrest Made in Connection with Death
Police confirmed on Friday that a 50-year-old man from the local area has been arrested on suspicion of murder. An emergency services presence will remain in the area while enquiries are carried out. The coroner and the man’s family have been informed of the death.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Inspector Rob Mahoney of North Wales Police said: “We understand this incident may cause concern within the local community, and I would like to reassure the public that there is a visible policing presence in the area. As part of our enquiries, we are appealing to anyone who was in the Bryn y Ffynnon area on Sunday morning (21 June) and may have seen or heard anything unusual to contact us. We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from the area on that day. My thoughts remain with the man's family at this difficult time.”
