Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Crystal Palace, south London. Emergency services were called to Westow Hill at 3:39 am on Sunday, June 21, 2026, following reports of a stabbing.
Victim and Suspect
Metropolitan Police officers arrived to find a man in his 30s with serious injuries. London Ambulance Service treated him at the scene before he was hospitalised with injuries initially not believed to be life-threatening. Officers then located another man, also thought to be in his 30s, in the same area with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the second man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arrest and Investigation
The suspect, who remains in hospital, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, leading the investigation, said: "Our officers responded quickly alongside the London Ambulance Service, who did everything possible to help the victim. This is a fast-moving investigation and residents in Crystal Palace will continue to notice an extensive police presence today as our enquiries continue. There are a number of scenes in place, and I encourage anyone who may have information or concerns to contact us."
