A light aircraft crashed at Dunkeswell Aerodrome in Devon on Friday morning, triggering a major emergency response. Emergency services were called to the airfield near Honiton shortly after 10am on 26 June.
Emergency Response and Casualties
Devon and Cornwall Police, along with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, are at the scene. Three fire appliances were dispatched, and an air ambulance was tracked leaving the airfield. The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) has also been deployed.
A police spokesperson said: "Police were called shortly after 10am on Friday 26 June following a report of a light aircraft crashing near to Dunkeswell Airfield. Emergency services attended the scene. We are continuing to work with our colleagues at The Air Accident Investigation Branch. The incident is ongoing and we will issue updates when in a position to do so."
