A murder investigation is ongoing in Byker, Newcastle, following the death of a man in his 20s. Northumbria Police have confirmed that three additional individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Details of the Incident

Emergency services were called to Shields Road around 7:30 pm on Tuesday, June 16, after reports of an assault. The victim, a man in his 20s, sustained serious injuries consistent with those caused by a bladed article. He later died from his injuries.

Arrests Made

On Wednesday, three people—two men aged 24 and 22, and a 16-year-old boy—were arrested on suspicion of murder. They have since been released on bail pending further inquiries. On Thursday, three more individuals—two men aged 40 and 33, and another 16-year-old boy—were arrested in the Walker area on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. They remain in police custody.

As of Friday morning, no charges have been filed, and the investigation continues.
