Police Investigation

A cordon remained in place for several hours while the vehicle was recovered and evidence gathered. A 63-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Enquiries are ongoing.

Nursery Operator Statement

A spokesperson for Partou UK, which operates the nursery, said: "This is an extremely distressing incident and our immediate focus is supporting the children affected, their families and our colleagues." They confirmed three children were injured, with two sustaining minor injuries and one receiving medical treatment.

Parent's Account

A father of one of the injured children described the scene as "chaotic" and "unbelievably bad." He praised nursery staff for their swift response, saying: "The staff were just exactly where they needed to be, making sure the kids were all OK."
