A murder investigation has been launched after a 12-year-old boy was struck by a car in an Essex village and later died in hospital. Police were called to Ashwells Road in Pilgrims Hatch, Brentwood, at around 5:40 pm on Sunday following reports of a collision. Officers found the boy with severe injuries, and he was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment but succumbed to his wounds.
Arrests Made
A 15-year-old boy and a 43-year-old man, both from the Pilgrims Hatch area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.
