Body Found in Search for Missing Man Sam Hunter

A body has been found in the tragic end to the search for a missing man, police have said. South Wales Police launched an appeal to help find Sam Hunter, 33, who went missing after he was last seen at around 4pm on Saturday, June 6.

Discovery in Pencoedtre Woods

He was seen with his black Carrera bicycle and police said at the time that there was concern for his welfare. Giving an update on the search on Thursday, police confirmed that Mr Hunter's body was found in Pencoedtre Woods, Barry, on June 11.

A spokesperson for the force said Mr Hunter's family have been informed and that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police Statement

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "Police looking for missing man Sam Hunter found a body of a man in Pencoedtre Woods, Barry, on the evening of Thursday, June 11. Next of kin have been informed and there are no suspicious circumstances."

The investigation has concluded, and the family has requested privacy at this difficult time.
