A 19-year-old woman has tragically died after gunshots were reported at a residential property in north London, prompting a murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police. The incident occurred in Dale Grove, Finchley, N12, where paramedics from the London Ambulance Service alerted police at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Monday, June 8.
Emergency Response
Despite the swift arrival of first responders, the young woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specially trained officers. No arrests have been made thus far, and detectives are working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, expressed condolences to the family and acknowledged community concerns. He stated: “Our thoughts are with the young woman’s family at this incredibly difficult time as they begin to come to terms with their loss. We understand the concern this incident will cause within the community. While our enquiries are ongoing, residents can expect to see an increased police presence over the coming days, and I encourage anyone with concerns to speak with officers.”
