Man Shot Dead in Dalston, Police Launch Murder Probe

A murder investigation has been launched after a 26-year-old man was shot dead in Dalston, east London. The victim has been identified as Beytullah Gunduz. Police were called to the scene on Crossway at approximately 9:40 pm on Monday, March 27. Officers found Mr Gunduz suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Investigation

The Metropolitan Police have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for witnesses. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, who is leading the investigation, said: 'This was a shocking incident that has left a family devastated. We are working tirelessly to establish the circumstances and identify those responsible.' Police believe the shooting was targeted and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Witness Appeal

Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam or doorbell footage. A crime scene remains in place, and local residents can expect to see a heightened police presence. No arrests have been made so far.
