Train services are facing disruption this afternoon after emergency services responded to an incident in Tameside. The incident occurred between Greenfield and Mossley on Monday, August 24, prompting some lines to be blocked.

Passengers have been advised to expect delays and cancellations as part of the ongoing response. TransPennine Express has confirmed that disruption is likely to last until 5pm.
In a statement, TransPennine Express said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Greenfield and Mossley Grtr Manchester some lines are blocked."
