There are long delays on the M60 in Trafford this afternoon after a crash involving several vehicles. The incident occurred on the anticlockwise stretch between junction 11 (Barton) and junction 10 (Trafford Centre).

Eyewitnesses reported that four vehicles were involved in the collision on Barton Bridge. The traffic service Inrix stated that all traffic was temporarily held to allow emergency services to attend the scene.

Current Situation

National Highways has confirmed that two of the three lanes are currently closed. This has resulted in approximately three miles of congestion and delays of around 20 minutes on the approach to the area.
