Rail passengers in and out of Cardiff are facing delays after trespassers were reported on the railway line north of the city. Services have been cancelled in both directions between Cardiff Central and Abercynon on Wednesday afternoon.
Disruption expected until mid-afternoon
Transport for Wales (TfW) has said disruption is expected to continue until at least 3.30pm. The company has apologised for any inconvenience caused to passengers.
A spokesman for TfW said: “We've been made aware of a trespass incident at Radyr meaning services in the area are subject to disruption and will be cancelled/delayed or revised. Network Rail and British Transport Police are working to make the area safe for rail services to run normally.”
Ongoing response at Radyr
Network Rail and British Transport Police are currently at the scene working to make the area safe for rail services to resume normal operation. Passengers are advised to check for live updates as the situation develops.
