Bootle bus station has been closed this afternoon (Friday, June 12) due to a reported gas leak. All buses that normally use the bus station are currently starting and finishing their routes at Washington Parade instead.
Official Statement from Merseytravel
A statement from Merseytravel posted at 12:23 pm on X said: "Bootle Strand Bus Station has been closed due to reports of a gas leak. All services that use the bus station are terminating and starting from Washington Parade. Services serving Stanley Road at the front of Bootle Strand remain unaffected. We currently have no timescale for this disruption."
