Uncle Bryn's house from Gavin & Stacey is now bookable on Airbnb, giving fans the chance to stay in one of the most iconic homes on British television. The original Barry Island property on Trinity Street has been transformed to match the series.
Owners transform the famous property
After spotting the house for sale, Airbnb hosts Jaxx and her partner Tom purchased it and set about recreating the interior as fans remember it from the show. Guests can recreate Bryn and Smithy's workout in the home gym and search for familiar props, details and hidden Easter eggs inspired by the series.
The stay, named "Gone Fishin", also serves as a base for exploring Barry's seafront, beaches and nearby filming locations.
Hosts share their excitement
Jaxx said: "We spotted online that the house was up for sale and honestly weren't sure we'd even get a viewing - it's such a well-known property. But we did, and I think we were among the first through the door."
She added: "Talking afterwards, we thought how much we'd love to stay ourselves for an 'Uncle Bryn experience' of sorts - and then figured, if we'd love it, there must be other fans who would too. So we put an offer in that same day and were slightly stunned when it got accepted. Beyond excited, obviously."
Recreating Bryn's Bachelor Paradise
The house is staged as it appeared in "Bryn's Bachelor Paradise" - Series 3, Episode 3, when the boys stay over. Jaxx said: "Gym and all, plus loads of little touches you'll recognise from the show. We've even hidden a few Easter eggs that only the true super-fans will spot. We can't wait to welcome guests through the door."
