Tui has confirmed that no fuel surcharges will be added to its package holidays, reassuring passengers that the price “that they book is the price they’ll pay”. The tour operator issued the update on its website as it “knows a lot of people are keeping a close eye on their budget right now”.
Price certainty for customers
Passengers have been informed that no fuel charges will be added to its package holidays and that their price will remain the same even if fuel costs change. Neil Swanson, Managing Director, TUI UK & Ireland, said: "We know value matters to customers, and we're very aware of the pressure on household budgets, as well as the wider cost pressures across the industry, including fuel. What we can offer is certainty.
“The price customers see is the price they pay, with no fuel surcharges added by TUI, and once a customer has booked, their price is fixed."
Swanson added: "Our scale and careful planning across fuel, flying and hotel capacity help us keep offering good value. We also offer low deposits, flexible payment options and free child places to help families spread the cost."
Jet2 extends its guarantee
The update comes amid rising uncertainty in the Middle East. Last week Jet2 announced that it wouldn’t be adding a fuel surcharge to any of its holidays this winter. The airline and holiday operator announced that its ‘No Fuel Surcharges’ guarantee has been extended to its winter 2026/26 flights and holidays, and beyond, giving passengers reassurance that they won’t face unexpected extra costs.
Jet2 has also extended the guarantee to cover all flights and holidays for the next two years. The guarantee included the Summer 27, Winter 27/28 and Summer 28 seasons and covered all Jet2 flights and holidays booked through any channel, including online, via the mobile app, contact centre or via an independent travel agent.
