A Cosy Winter Retreat in the Derbyshire Dales
Nestled on the outskirts of the village of Marston Montgomery, close to the Derbyshire Dales and Staffordshire border, the lodge is ideal for couples. It comes equipped with a kitchen, sitting area and shower room, and guests are supplied with logs for the hot tub.
By day, visitors can take one of the scenic footpaths for a crisp winter walk, then head to the village pub, The Crown Inn, which serves locally-sourced produce in a rustic setting. Just a short drive away is the popular Duncombe Arms in Ellastone.

The village has its own small farm shop, "The Shed", which sells ice cream, eggs, milk and homemade cakes. For local amenities and essentials, guests can head to the nearby village of Rocester, or take a short trip to the award-winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop & Café for a homecooked breakfast or afternoon tea. There is also a bakery, butchery and delicatessen.
Bakewell, the biggest town in the Peak District National Park, is within driving distance, as is Chatsworth House, home to the Devonshire family.
