Liverpool teenage centre-back Amara Nallo has agreed to spend the rest of the year on loan at Finnish side HJK Helsinki, and could make an immediate debut for the club.
With the Finland domestic league running from April until late October, the 19-year-old defender will be available for the last six rounds of the regular season and then the final stages when the 12-team league splits into two divisions.
European competition involvement
Nallo is also clear to feature in European competition, and has been named in the HJK squad for their Conference League second qualifying first leg clash against Northern Ireland side Coleraine on Thursday evening.
The centre-back was signed by Liverpool from West Ham United in 2023 and spent the first 18 months featuring predominantly with the under-21 side.
Red card setbacks
His senior debut in the Champions League dead rubber at PSV Eindhoven in January 2025 saw him become the youngest player sent off in Liverpool history when he was dismissed just four minutes after coming on from the bench towards the end.
Nallo's second first-team appearance lasted only 12 minutes when, again having been brought on as substitute, he was red-carded in the League Cup defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield last October.
The defender, though, was able to safely negotiate the final 16 minutes at home to Qarabag in the Champions League in January when introduced for his third Liverpool outing.
Nallo has also made the matchday squad on nine other occasions, most recently the Champions League loss at home to Paris Saint-Germain in April.
