Victoria Leeds has been named the best shopping centre in the UK, according to TripAdvisor rankings. The centre, located in the heart of Leeds, achieved an outstanding rating of 4.6 out of 5, surpassing well-known destinations such as Liverpool ONE and Trinity Leeds.
Comprising the historic Victoria Quarter and the contemporary Victoria Gate, the centre houses around 75 to 80 stores. These range from high-street names to luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, and Harvey Nichols, the latter being the first branch opened outside London.
Victoria Leeds is also celebrated for its architecture. The Victoria Quarter, dating back to 1904, features a stunning stained-glass roof installed during a 1990s restoration. The Victoria Gate development opened in 2016 following a £165 million expansion, blending modern design with historic arcades.
Beyond retail, the centre offers dining at The Ivy and The Ivy Asia, cocktails at The Cut & Craft, and entertainment at Boom Battle Bar and Victoria Gate Casino. TripAdvisor reviewers praised the centre's beauty and atmosphere, with one calling it 'a joy to walk around'.
