Creamfields Festival returns to the Daresbury countryside from Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30, marking 20 years at the site. Thousands are expected across the four days to see acts including Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris and Sonny Fodera.
Festivalgoers can reach the site by car, shuttle bus, taxi or private pick-up, but specific guidelines are in place to ensure safe journeys. The designated drop-off and pick-up point sits near the North Car Park, and all ticket holders should follow event road signage for Pick Up/Drop Off.
Drop-off rules and taxi guidance
Drivers must follow all road signage and must not attempt to access the South Car Parks for drop-off, as they will be directed back to the designated point. This may add time to the journey and could incur the standard car parking rate.
For taxis, drivers should follow signs to the Drop Off & Pick Up point, and pre-booked taxis are strongly recommended. Passengers should agree the fare before setting off and note the driver's ID badge and vehicle registration number, which can be reported to onsite taxi marshals if issues arise. Hackney carriage users should ensure the meter is switched on and that the driver knows they may only drop passengers at the designated point.
Shuttle buses and car routes
Shuttle buses run directly to and from the site from Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington. Pre-booking tickets in advance is more cost-effective, though tickets can be bought on the day for all services. Buses will operate after the festival ends, and those without pre-booked tickets can buy them at the Shuttle Bus Box Office, located over the Bridge at the Transport Hub near the North Entrance.
For car travel, routes to the festival are clearly signposted to minimise congestion. Following the dedicated festival signs is recommended over sat-nav, as road closures around the site may not be reflected in sat-nav routes.
Train connections
The nearest train stations are Runcorn Station, Warrington Central, Warrington Bank Quay and Liverpool Lime Street, all connected to the main line with shuttle buses running to and from the site all day and night. Shuttle buses run between Warrington Bus Interchange and the festival site, while Runcorn only has buses from the site upon leaving.
