Readers can claim a free pair of tickets to any of the listed race meetings across the country this August. A day at the races offers thrilling spectacle and a great outing with family and friends.

We have partnered with Racing TV to secure 1,000 pairs of tickets for each racecourse. Additionally, kids go free, making it an ideal summer family day out.

Participating Race Meetings

  • Sandown – Thursday 6 August, gates open 16:00 (subject to change)
  • Kempton Park – Wednesday 12 August, gates open TBC (check website)
  • Thirsk – Friday 14 August, gates open 15:30
  • Carlisle – Wednesday 19 August, gates open TBC (check website)
  • Stratford-on-Avon – Thursday 20 August, TBC (check website)

Terms and Conditions

  1. Promotion open until 5 days before the event or until tickets are redeemed. Closing dates: Sandown (1 August), Kempton Park (6 August), Thirsk (9 August), Carlisle (13 August), Stratford-on-Avon (16 August). Entire promotion closes at 23:59 on 16 August 2026.
  2. Syndicated offer across Daily Star, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Daily Record, and regional newspapers.
  3. Limited to 2,000 tickets (1,000 pairs) per event, first come first served.
  4. Entrants must be 18+. Provide full name and email. Successful entrants receive an instant email with ticket info; unsuccessful entrants are informed. Check junk folder.
  5. One pair of tickets per customer total. Subsequent entries invalid if already successful.
  6. Proof of identity required with e-tickets at the event.
  7. Newsletter subscription optional; data used only for promotion if not subscribed.
  8. Offer excludes travel, expenses, parking. No cash alternative. Tickets not for resale.
  9. Only named person with matching ID admitted. Event operators reserve right to refuse entry.
  10. E-tickets cannot be exchanged. Not valid for resale. Must be used on specified date.
  11. Check racecourse website or social media for weather updates.
  12. Abandoned fixtures: tickets not valid for alternative dates.
  13. Data shared only with relevant racecourse unless opted in for third-party info from Racing TV. Reach privacy policy applies.
