Chichester, a historic city in West Sussex, has been named among the world's top 10 trending holiday destinations for 2027 by travel company Expedia. It is the only UK destination to make the list, with flight and accommodation searches increasing by 30% compared with the previous year.
Why Chichester made the list
Expedia's Destinations of the Year list is based on flight and accommodation searches to identify places attracting more interest from holidaymakers. Chichester was ranked tenth, joining destinations in Japan, Italy, Canada and the United States.
The city is known for its cathedral, Roman history and surrounding countryside, while the nearby coast offers beaches and sailing. Expedia also highlighted Chichester's theatre, art and cycling opportunities.
