Avis First Premium Car Hire Expands to Heathrow and Paris CDG

Car hire company Avis has expanded its premium Avis First concierge service to London Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle airports, promising to eliminate queues and the need for last-minute fuel stops. The service, which now operates at more than 30 airport and city locations across North America and Europe, aims to make renting a vehicle one of the most seamless parts of a holiday.

Concierge Service Removes Rental Desk Hassles

Instead of queueing at a car hire desk after landing, customers are greeted by a dedicated Avis First concierge who delivers their vehicle with the cabin temperature already adjusted for comfort. The concierge also helps with luggage and connects customers' phones to the vehicle, allowing them to get straight on the road with the route to the hotel or villa planned out without the usual delays.

When the holiday comes to an end, travellers can simply leave their vehicle at a designated drop-off point and head straight to the terminal, with no need for a last-minute dash to a petrol station. Customers pay only for the fuel they have used, charged at local pump rates.

Expansion Across Europe

First launched in the United States in July 2025, Avis First has since expanded into Europe, with the service introduced at airports including Barcelona, Geneva, Munich, Porto, Rome and Zurich. The company says the expansion is part of its ambition to make premium car hire more convenient, giving travellers more time to enjoy their holidays rather than dealing with paperwork, queues and vehicle returns.

Anna Pawlak-Kuliga, President of International at Avis Budget Group, said: "Avis is giving travellers more time to explore Europe by taking away the friction between landing and getting on the road and between returning the car and making a flight." She added: "We continue to look for opportunities to thoughtfully expand in European markets; offering the differentiated Avis First experience to more travellers around the world."
