Alex Scott has no plans to sign a new contract with Bournemouth, putting Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United on alert for the 22-year-old midfielder. The England international, who joined the Cherries for £25 million three years ago, has two years left on his current deal and has shown no indication of extending.
Contract talks stall
Standard Sport understands that Bournemouth first offered Scott a new contract in March, at which point the club felt confident an agreement could be reached. However, Scott decided not to sign, and talks have slowed significantly since then. Bournemouth have received no encouragement that the midfielder will commit his future to the club.
Scott had a superb season for the Cherries and was rewarded by then-manager Thomas Tuchel with a call-up to England's preparation camp before the World Cup. His performances have attracted interest from several top Premier League clubs.
Interest from top clubs
It is understood that Arsenal and Chelsea have both indicated informal interest in Scott, though no formal approaches have been made. Manchester United are also monitoring the midfielder as they look to further bolster their options in the middle of the park.
Despite the contract impasse, Bournemouth's stance is that Scott is not for sale and will remain at the club next season regardless of whether he signs a new contract. Even though he has entered the final two years of his existing deal, the Cherries do not feel under pressure to sell.

Bournemouth view Scott as a key player as they prepare for their first season in European competition under new manager Marco Rose. Scott is currently with his team-mates in Austria, where Bournemouth have started their pre-season preparations.
