More than 67,000 cases of Power Stick deodorant have been recalled in the United States due to deviations from good manufacturing practices, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The recall, issued by A.P. Deauville in cooperation with the FDA, affects three variants of the roll-on antiperspirant: Power Stick for Her (power fresh scent), Power Stick Invisible Protection (spring fresh scent), and Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection. The products were sold at Walmart, Dollar Tree and Amazon.
The FDA cited “cGMP deviations” – a failure to comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations – as the reason for the recall, though no specific safety incidents have been reported at this time. The affected lot numbers have been listed by the company.
A.P. Deauville, which also produces other personal care items such as shampoos and lotions, confirmed that no other products are impacted by the recall.
This announcement comes amid a broader rise in product recalls in the US, including recent food recalls linked to plastic contamination in yogurt toppings.
