Walkers has officially relaunched its popular partnership with KFC, bringing back two flavours: Walkers MAX KFC Original Chicken and Walkers MAX KFC Zinger crisps. The Original Chicken flavour is back for good, while the Zinger is only available for a limited time.
The original launch was in 2021, and fans were obsessed. Original Chicken is said to taste like KFC’s famous blend of 11 herbs and spices, while the Zinger has a 'spicy and zesty' kick reminiscent of the classic burger.
Where to buy
The crisps are now available at supermarkets including Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and Tesco. The Instagram account @newfoodsuk shared a photo of the crisps at Morrisons, saying: "KFC crisps are back!"
A statement from Walkers at the time of their launch in January 2021 said the collaboration was a "no-brainer" as there were a "number of synergies between our brands."
Fan reactions
Fans were disappointed when the crisps were discontinued. One person wrote on X: "I would genuinely rank them among one of the best flavours ever." TikToker @soulfula5 called the Walkers MAX KFC Zinger crisps "the best thing the UK ever made… and they just discontinued it like it was nothing."
Another fan on Instagram said: "I remember buying the big bag of six from Sainsbury's when they came out. Damn they were nice." Reacting to the relaunch, another commented: "Greatest news ever."
The crisps cost between £1.50 and £2.50 for a sharing bag.
